A big thank you to our budding group of young referees who are growing in confidence with each game so well done to Zach Collins, Matt Barr, Dylan Crisp, Nathan Oldfield and Nick Fry for your efforts!
The canteen has also been running quite smoothly this year and thank you to those keen helpers for getting stuck into the job at hand.
For those of you who were unsure as to whether soccer was called off last week and didn't turn up, we have set up a pretty thorough plan to inform you if soccer is cancelled! Your child's coach will be notified after a weather and pitch inspection if soccer is to be cancelled and it is then up to them to contact you! If you hear nothing then soccer is still on! These decisions will be made by 7am so those of you who travel some distance have time to be notified before you would leave home! Due to so many of you being on our e-mail list you could check that also for a cancellation e-mail from me!
Sub-Juniors
The subbies ranks were depleted this week but a band of willing participants still turned up for some fun on the mini field last weekend. Leroy Campbell-Davys, Jake Waters, Isabella Hindmarsh and Hunter Gleeson have been very keen participants in both sessions and Leroy scored again in this weeks game. Bonnie Park and Isabella Hindmarsh are definitely improving with some great kicks and Jake Waters was a goalscoring machine and Eliza Wlasak who did some nice throw-ins, were unstoppable as the Blues who had their coach on their side managed to win the first game 3-1. Albert Hazell, Harrison Wall and Mariah Roberts all had good moments on the field and everyone is starting to pick up the basics of the game well. Angus and Emily Stuart-Camenzuli turned up for the second session as did Ben Castle and Daisy Millpark whose squeals and smiles brighten my day all played well with Ben trying his best to score a goal. Well done everyone! A big thanks to all the parents who helped during the sessions and with packing up!

Storm Hawks v Power Rangers
Callaum Doyle managed to put the Storm Hawks in front with 2 goals in the first half and the Power Rangers were looking down the barrel of a loss. Ryan Castle managed to get 2 goals back for the Power Rangers in the second half and a better defensive game almost saw the Power Rangers steal the game from the Storm Hawks! Best for the Storm Hawks were Willough Corby, Ethan Gray and Georgia Garcia and best for the Power Rangers were Hayley Clarke, Rosie Fanning and Ryan Castle.
Final score Storm Hawks 2 Power Rangers 2

Villains v Rascals
The tackling in this game was outstanding and with both teams not prepared to back down making for some entertaining football. Both teams had some chances to score but last ditch defence, saves off the goalline and a disallowed goal saw the game end in a draw. Often people see a scoreless draw and think 'boring' but these 2 teams definitely made it an exciting affair! Well done kids! Best for the Villains were Nick Asimus, Fynn Walker and Kara Laney and best for the Rascals were Izak Hilhorst, Harry Shoemark and Max Evans. Final score Villains 0 Rascals 0
Bushrangers v Scallywags
The rain during this game seemed to spark both teams and in a game of limited scoring chances both teams entertained the resilient crowd! Angus Bunn opened the scoring for the Scallywags with a nice goal before Lochie Ramm levelled it up after a long solo run. The game see-sawed but without any more scoring ended in a draw. Best for the Bushrangers were Lachlan Ramm, Lillian Leake and Romney Smith and best for the Scallywags were Krystyna Garcia, Marni Roberts and Calypso Putra-Jaya. Final Score Bushrangers 1 Scallywags 1

King Browns v Cobras
The rain and reduced numbers on the field made for more space to create chances. The Cobras hit the front when Josh Fletcher tucked away a neat shot but the King Browns Sarah Hemler scored to level it up. The Cobras Phillip Grimm is proving to be a handful for any opposition consistently stealing the ball and putting on plenty of pressure in defence. Dylan Crisp scored again for the Cobras to give them the lead but Sarah managed to get her second for the King Browns and the game ended in a draw. Best for the King Browns were Kristina Holcman, Matilda Corby and Melissa Mundy and best for the Cobras were Phillip Grimm, Kristie Kuhn and Dylan Crisp.
Final score King Browns 2 Cobras 2
Taipans v Death Adders
This was another close game with the Taipans again unlucky not to get any points from the game. Both teams were guilty of missing scoring chances but Isaac Jullienne opened the scoring for the Death Adders to give them the lead. Pat Willding managed to equalise for the Taipans and the difference between the 2 teams in the end was a stunning strike from the Death Adders Helen DeCosta. Best for the Death Adders were Shane Klomp, Dominic Tetley and Isaac Jullienne and best for the Taipans were Ben Howard, Keely Howard and Joel Clarke.
Final score Death Adders 2 Taipans 1
Youth
Gummy Sharks v Tiger Sharks
The Tiger sharks were missing a couple of players but put up a strong 1st half. The Gummy Sharks definitely showed more composure and structure with possession and managed to score four neat goals from Kaitlyn Harrison, Emily Malone, Brendan Clarke and Jacob Camilleri. The persistence of the Tigers saw them final score with Sam McGlone slotting in a late goal but will rue the missed chances during the game which could have kept the scores a little closer. Best for the Gummy Sharks were Lauren Turner, Tom Willding and Kaitlyn Harrison and best for the Tiger Sharks were Josh Liversidge, Chris Corcoran and Kaylah Jullienne. Final score Gummy Sharks 4 Tiger Sharks 1
Bull Sharks v Hammerheads
This was an exciting game that went right down to the final whistle. The Hammerheads jumped to the lead with an early goal to Jack McGlone. Dylan Crisp replied for the Bull Sharks and with the weather changing from rain to sunshine there were some missed chances by both teams. The Hammerheads will certainly be disappointed with the amount of chances created compared to those converted as the Bull Sharks managed to hit the lead after Dylan scored his second. The Hammerheads hit back quickly when Jack McGlone scored his second but the Bull Sharks finally took the points when Joel Pearce scored in the final minutes of the game. Best for the Bull Sharks were Ricky McCurley , Zac Faichney and Joel Pearce and Best for the Hammerheads were Michael Engemann, Dan Ison and Jack McGlone. Final score Bull Sharks 3 Hammerheads 2
