A big Thank you to Anthony Stanley for his efforts of setting up the fields and organising the food for the canteen. After being crook most of last week and feeling rough on Saturday morning his commitment to the fields and canteen saves all of us a mountain of time and considering he has not got any kids playing yet it is a fantastic effort to keep turning up each week as he has done for the last 6 years! Thanks also to Warren Barr with putting up the junior nets and to Brad Hewitt for getting them down!

Another thank you to those of you who give up your time for the canteen and there should be a new roster out this week or next so keep your eyes out for when you are rostered on!

Well done to our referees for last week as well with two new younger boys having their first go in the Juniors so keep up the good work, Jack Asimus, Kelly Liversidge, Nathan Oldfield and Nick Fry.

SUB-JUNIORS

A great roll up of subbies saw lots of fun for everyone! Some new players were there this week and both Alice and Fergus Tooth played well. After some net checking from the fencers Jake Waters and both Lachlan and Nathan Hindmarsh a game between the Blacks and Blues kicked off!

Bonnie Park has grown in confidence as she got the game under way with a great kick off! The Blues Ben Castle scored first with a strong determined run and as hard as the Black team tried they just couldn't get a goal. That is until a brilliant shot from Hunter Gleeson scored from near half way! Jai Bunn and Scarlet Bunn both did some nice throw-ins as did Isabella Hindmarsh and Daisy Millpark. Jackson Morris scored a nice goal and Ben scored 2 more times until Holly Franz scored for the Blacks and Hunter scored a second. Nathan Grimm played well as did Bree Franz and Tara Norris and Leroy Campbell-Davys did some good things on the field as well! Final score Blacks and Blues 4-4.

JUNIORS

Storm Hawks v Dragon Riders

Another terrific match, with the save of the year by Archer Rea in goals for the Storm Hawks stopping a screamer in the second half with his head! Great work Archer! The Storm Hawks passed the ball well throughout the game which led to a very open and fast paced match. The crowd witnessed some great football from both teams during this match. Best for the Storm Hawks were Archer Rea, Callaum Doyle and Georgia Garcia and best for the Dragon Riders were Isaac Quattromini, Lily Morris and Jessie Lavis. Final score Storm Hawks 4 Dragon Riders 1

The Incredibles v Power Rangers

INTERMEDIATES

Scally wags V Villains

The Villains played with good intensity throughout this match that proved to be an entertaining affair. The Scallywags showed some strong defence on the line and some great goal keeping kept the Villains forwards frustrated until Kelly Liversidge slotted in a goal that ricocheted off the keepers gloves. Krystyna Garcia put in an enormous effort for the Scallywags in both attack and defence and her courage was inspiring to watch. The Villains however started to move the ball around well and Mitchell Roberts slotted home two hard fought goals to give the Villains a hard fought win. Best for the Villains were Mitchell Roberts, Jack Asimus and Kelly Liversidge and best for the Scallywags were Krystyna Garcia, Harry Fry and Brock McAdam. Final score Villains 3 Scallywags 0

Rascals v Bushrangers

Both teams started slowly after a week off but the match soon warmed up! The Rascal had great field position for the majority of the game but brilliant Bushranger defence kept the Rascals out! The Bushrangers had a couple of breaks but the Rascals defence was up to the challenge. Tight entertaining and nerve wracking fun for all! Best for the Rascals were Francesca Gordon, Lucy Fanning and Josh Story and best for the Bushrangers were Lillian Leake, Lochlan Ramm and Lachlan Leake. Final score Rascals 0 Bushrangers 0

SUB-YOUTH

Death Adders v King Browns

Another great game with both sides giving 100% the entire game! Both teams had good chances to score but the last ditch defence was outstanding and a lucky goal decided the match as the King Browns Pat O'Connell ponced on a rare opportunity. Best for the King Browns were Tyran Ellison, Pat O'Connell and Elizabeth Krijnan and best for the Death Adders were Helen DeCosta, Courtney Doyle and Tess Mather. Final score King Browns 1 Death Adders 0

Cobras v Taipans

The Taipans put in their biggest team performance for the season with everyone playing to their best. Angus Sherriff scored one goal and Joel Clarke two for the Taipans but some good team work from the Cobras gave Dylan Crisp two goals and kept the game close. Some good performances from Lizzy Farley in goals and solid defence from Kristy Kuhn who never stopped trying for the Cobras. Best for the Taipans were Joel Clarke, Riley Sheridan and Keely Howard and best for the Cobras were Tahnee Smithers, Chloe Stuart and Josh Fletcher. Final score Taipans 3 Cobras 2

YOUTH

Hammeheads v Gummy Sharks

The first half of the game saw the Hammerheads dominate possession and have many goal scoring attempts. Brianna Pont did a great job in goals for the Gummy Sharks making plenty of good saves as a depleted Gummy Sharks outfit struggled with the attacking prowess of the Hammerheads. Jack McGlone scored twice and Andrew Crisp, Lewis Kain and Sam Moorby all scored 1 as the second half levelled out a little bit but the Hammerheads took a comfortable win. Best for the Hammerheads were Sam Moorby, Andrew Crisp and Tamika Murphy and best for the Gummy Sharks were Troy Harrison, Brianna Pont and Brendan Clarke. Final score Hammerheads 5 Gummy Sharks 0

Tiger Sharks v Bull Sharks

Another game that the Tiger Sharks looked in control for the majority but let slip in the final stages! The Tigers look comfortable during the first half of the game with some nice passing and accomplished finishing with Sam McGlone slotting home a nice goal. But the Bull Sharks have never given up and had a more determined final quarter of the game as Harley Williams scored twice to give the Bull Sharks the win. Best for the Bull Sharks were Janaya Faichney, Leith Collard and Jess Willding and best for the Tiger Sharks were James Gribble, Ned Bott and Sam McGlone. Final score Bull Sharks 2 Tiger Sharks 1
