After leading the four other teams convincingly all season, Team 1 was beaten by Team 4 in the grand final last Wednesday night. The scores were 10 sets to 6. The in form Team 4 had beaten team 2 in the (replayed) semi final the previous night.
The winning team were Michael Toikens, Rodney Royds, Rod Wallace, Phil, Josh and Vicki McGrath, Vanessa Bunn (with young James Fry as her replacement for this match) and Kelly Coleman. The captain of team 1, Nick Fry had to miss playing in the final due to a recent cricket injury. He consoled himself by cooking up a feast on the barbecue. The Summer Night Comp 2007 will commence in early February. New and "returning" players are most welcome.
