Braidwood's Golf Professional Leigh Hunter has been very busy organising the major Youth Week Event for Braidwood which will take place this Friday at the Club, with further activities at The Rec Ground.
A careers Expo has been rolled into the Golfing Day with a variety of employers attending. So far the Australian Defence Force, NSW Police, Landmark, First National, and Helen Roberts Horse Riding are attending.
The day will start with a golf skills challenge from 10am-11.30am for primary aged kids, followed by a BBQ funded by the Palerang Council as part of Youth Week.
From 12.30pm-1.30pm there will be a High School kids BBQ again funded by the Palerang Council Youth Week fund, while the careers people mingle and talk about their respective career possibilities.
From 1.30pm-3.pm there will be an Ambrose competition for the high schoolers with a presentation afterwards.
At The Rec Ground Country Cricket will be bring a Radar Gun and Bowling machine.
All local businesses are more than welcome to come down to the Club and present their career opportunities to the high schoolers from 12.30-2.00pm.
