Two of Braidwood’s youngest lawn bowlers Chris Pearson and Richard Smith, were successful recently in gaining selection to be considered for the NSW State Under 15 Selection Squad at competitions held in Tamworth recently.
The NSW Junior Development Squad consists of 24 players chosen from across the state, from these 24 players the NSW 15’s Junior Bowls Team will be selected.
“This could not have happened without the help of the Braidwood community, said Chris Pearson, the Braidwood Men’s and Women’s Bowling Clubs and the special assistance of Barry Jonas, for all his time and coaching, Betty Jonas for all her fund raising and Garry Huddelston for driving us both all the way to Tamworth and home”.
