I would just like to thank and congratulate all associated with the 2012 Quilt Event. From what I saw, and by all other accounts, it was a spectacular success. Everyone I have spoken to, sing the praises of the organisers and the contributors to what is a premier event on the Braidwood calendar.

As president of Braidwood Regional Arts Group I would like to let everyone know how proud we are to be able to contribute to the success of the Braidwood Quilt Event.
I would like to give special mention to our extraordinary Community Art Centre Management team and their helpers who gave so much of themselves to make sure BRAG’s contribution was a valuable one. Janita and Maggie made certain our new Community Arts Centre was an effective and inviting venue for the “Fibre Fest”, for demonstrations of weaving, machine embroidery and lace making and for the displays of Sandra Fisher’s beautiful works in silk as well as a display space for some fine quilts and a nice cuppa and a piece of cake! Apart from setting it all up, pulling it all down, managing the venue, making tea and cakes, Maggie even managed to throw in a rug making demo!
BRAG is amazed by the energy, enthusiasm and great ideas of these two and I am pleased to be able to thank them publicly.
What is even more pleasing is that there are many people in Braidwood, just like Janita and Maggie who put inordinate amounts of effort into making this, and many other events, such a great success.
Well done all of you!
