It will be a full weekends drafting with events on Friday being the Encouragement, Ladies and the Open for Open. Saturday’s program will follow with the first round of the feature LANDMARK Open, then Novice, second round Feature Open and the finals. Sunday’s program will include a Maiden draft, Junior and Juvenile drafts and completes with a Novice for Novice draft.
There has been over 1200 entries received for the weekend, so expect some great runs. Canteen facilities will be running all weekend plus a dinner on Saturday night catered by Trish Young and Families. The Bar will be operating both Friday and Saturday nights (APEX). Late Saturday afternoon will provide some great spectating with both the feature Open Landmark final to be run plus the Novice final.
Braidwood Campdraft Club would like to thank the following cattle donors as without them we would have no competition. Ray and Amanda Hall - Braidwood Cattle Co., Lavis Family – Strathallan, Alan and Kathy Hannaford, Frank Morrison, Paul Hart, George Sherriff, Phil Shoemark, Owen Gwinn, Ian Laurie and Melanie Cochrane. We would also like to thank our generous sponsors: Landmark, Daniel and Walker, The Australian Stockyard Company and Frank Coonan.
Recently there was a working bee held at the showgrounds to run power and water to the new Pony Club shed and the Campdraft arena, the construction of a portable announcing stand and installation of two 2000 litre water troughs in back holding yards for the cattle. With these new facilities we can provide greater care of stock and greater potential to host a variety of other sports in the back paddock. The Braidwood Campdraft Club would like to thank all volunteers who donated their sweat, time, equipment and supplies. With particular mention to Bill of William Hawes Electrical for providing the expertise and his time to make it possible. Thanks also to Wade Sephton and the Braidwood Rodeo crew, the Braidwood Pony Club, and to Sam Amey and Marty Jefferies for providing and manning the trench diggers.
We look forward to seeing you at the campdraft.
