On Friday, St. Bede's students participated in a Mini-Olympics on the school grounds.
Events included equestrian [piggy back races through an obstacle course], relay races, sprints, ball games, finger sword fights and rowing [in the sandpit].
Students created their own countries, designed flags and generally had a great time.
As tradition dictates, all teams marched into the stadium, Tom Cairns recited the Athlete's Oath and Mr Laffan brought the Olympic Torch to light the cauldron.
Congratulations kids on being good sports and having a fun time, no matter what the result!
