About 80 people attended a picnic in Ryrie Park on Sunday to Call for Climate Action. The Rally was part of a Nation Day of Climate Action organised by GetUp which was attended by thousands of people around the country.

Dan Gilfillan addressed the rally urging governments to “insure our climate.”
“Let's tell our representatives that it doesn't matter whether there is room for doubt about humankind's influence on our changing climate. What matters is that there is a reasonable possibility that our activities as humans are changing the climate” said Dan.
“We need to pay a small premium now to reduce our environmental footprint so that we don't have to pay up big down the track.”
