The work designed to improve safety on a bend south east of Larbert Road and at the Western Distributor intersection near Braidwood is expected to be finished on Friday 11 July.
“The work is part of the NSW Government’s $20 million commitment to improve safety for motorists on the Kings Highway,” Mr Barilaro said.
“The NSW Government provided $650,000 for work at the intersection of Kings Highway and Larbert Road which included flattening out a dangerous bend allowing vehicles to safety negotiate it at the 100km/h speed limit.
“A special road seal was also layed to help vehicles better grip the road surface – particularly in wet weather.
“A further $300,000 was provided for safety improvements at the Kings Highway and Western Distributor intersection near Braidwood where the west bound road shoulder has been widened to improve safety.
“Work started early in the year and motorists have been very patient traveling through the work site while traffic controllers was in place.”
