Braidwood and Villages Tourism (BAVT) is happy to announce that it has appointed Cath Neish as office manager of the Visitor Information Centre (VIC). The Centre has been somewhat neglected over the last few years, however, the small but dedicated team of current volunteers have kept the doors open.

Cath, a former volunteer at the VIC, has many years of tourism experience. She is looking forward to working with the current volunteers to bring some new energy into the space. One of the aims is to create an attractive display area to showcase and sell quality local art, craft and produce.
The priority, though, will be recruiting volunteers. Even if you have only lived in Braidwood for a short time, you are very welcome to join. Full training will be provided as well as familiarisation trips to local businesses.
Volunteering at the VIC is great way to meet people and contribute to your community. The level of commitment is very flexible. There is a choice of half or full days or to register as a back-up.
You can choose to participate weekly or once a month. It’s up to you. Cath will be at the VIC on Thursdays if you would like to pop in for a chat or phone 4842 1244. Jill at McLeod Galleries can also help with any enquiries, phone 4842 2626.
