The new executive members for the next twelve months were installed very efficiently by Maureen Stokes, President of the Merrimbula/Pambula Lions Club.
Lions members travelled from the Moruya and Merrimbula Clubs for the night and other guests included our Deputy Mayor Belinda Hogarth-Boyd who proposed the toast to Lions, Braidwood Community Bank representatives, Apex ( your tie looked great Peter and definitely outdid Jamie’s …), Masonic Club representatives and a number of Braidwood Lions Club members from earlier years.
Outgoing Lions President Ken Thomas thanked members for their great work and contribution over the past twelve months and also the community for their everready support. Ken proudly announced that with the fantastic support of the community over the past 12 months the Club has raised and distributed just under $18,000 to many local needy causes. Ken made special mention of the work put in by Lions Life Member Gordon Stephen who remains very active in the background of many Lions Club activities in our town. Ken welcomed the new Executive team of Phil Lewis (President), Frank Hansby (Treasurer) and Paul Robinson (Secretary).
