Last weekend James and Nick Fry were involved in a Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter flight. Thank goodness it was not a medical emergency, but a promotional flight from their base to Exhibition Park markets.

Nick said “We landed at the markets to a crowd of around 200-300 people, James and I jumped out of the helicopter and headed towards the crowd. For a while we felt like celebrities, as we could see people pointing to us, wondering who we were and why we were on the helicopter in the first place. In my dreams, I was hoping to hear “look, it’s Nick and James Fry” or maybe 007...”
The helicopter stayed at the markets for over an hour, with many people of all ages looking through the helicopter and countless photos with the crew. Although this was a promotional visit, all crew must attend, that being the doctor, pilot, paramedic and winchman. “In fact, while on ground, the doctor was on the phone regarding an accident and there was the chance that they were required to attend. Thankfully, that was not the case, and we were able to fly back to base” said Nick.
