The Braidwood Community Bank and Palerang United ‘Goals for Life’ Promotion continues to grow as our teams score goals. So far the total raised for the Braidwood Life Centre is $1010 which is $10 for each goal scored by a Palerang team. Many thanks to the Braidwood Community Bank for their generous support and well done to our Palerang United teams - keep up the scoring for your community.
A reminder to all families that next week (2nd August) is a BYE for the local competition. BJSC returns on August 9 and the grand finals are now scheduled for September 13.
The Under 9's Whites team need a special mention for their excellent win of the Best and Fairest Team at the recent Kanga Cup Competition. The Under White's team members were Ryan Blowes, Leroy Campbell-Davys, Joshua Clark, James Flack, Isabella Hindmarsh, Nathan Hindmarsh, Millie Potter and Nelson Sargent.
LOCAL RESULTS
UNDER 9’S
Simmentals defeated Beefmasters 4-0. Another competitive game from both teams with consistent pressure from Nelson, Ryan and Wyatt for the Beefmasters. The Semmintals pushed hard in the second half to put the ball through. Great play from James, Ryan, Fletcher and Joshua.
UNDER 11’S
Herefords defeated Longhorns 5-0. The first half was an even game with scores 1-0 to Herefords, but the 2nd half saw 4 more goals with Lyla Cosbie scoring 4 goals and Jasmine Potter booting 1 into the net.
UNDER 13’S
Holsteins defeated Square Meaters 4-3. A great game of football which was close until the end. The Holsteins were very grateful to have Nina sunning for the first half and scoring a great goal. Both teams enjoyed the game and everyone stepped up as the match went on.
Charolais defeated Murray Greys. Charolais won the game outright, they played a strong game and have improved since the start of the season.
PALERANG UNITED.
U15 Girls. A slow start to the match saw our girls behind 2-0 in the early stages, but they regathered to equal the score 2 all at half time. A strong second half by the Palerang Untied team saw us take out the match 4-2 and place us in third place on the ladder
MEN'S
A tight match in an away game against Yass resulting in a 1 all draw.
