UNDER 9’S RESULTS
Simmentals defeated Brahmans 4-1. Angus and Remnie were excellent in the back position. Great offence again from Leroy scoring a much needed goal. Defence was excellent from the Brahmans a all times however the offence from the Simmentals was too strong with Isabella, Josh and Ryan dominating the goal area. Excellent work from all players on both sides with position holding and passing having improved out of sight from all players.
Beefmasters defeated Shorthorns 1-0. Good game from both teams with skills improving every week. Special mention to Lexie,Jjacob, Ryan and Bryce.
UNDER 11'S RESULTS
Longhorns versus Droughtmasters 3-3 draw. A very close game between the two teams. The overall effort was very exciting to see with both teams putting it on like it was the world cup.
Herefords defeated Angus 3-0. A cold day but plenty of fire on the field with some end to end play. The Herefords scored in the first half (Lyla Crosbie) but followed it up with an own goal to end the half 2-0. The second half saw the Herefords score again (Sarah walker).
UNDER 13'S RESULTS
Square Meaters Defeated Charolais 3-2. A strong game from both sides, the faster legs were the key to the match.
Holsteins defeated Murray Greys 3-1. A great game of football with both teams really enjoying themselves and playing in a great spirit. Particularly pleasing was the stronger players starting to pass to team mates who were better positioned.
PALERANG UNITED
What a tremendous weekend for Palerang United with all of three teams who played, winning their matches and the two female teams are now in first and second place on their respective ladders.
The effort by the teams have added another $100 to the Braidwood Community Bank and Palerang United ‘Goals for Life’ Promotion. The total raised for the Braidwood Life Centre is now $1290 which is $10 for each goal scored by a Palerang team due to the generous support of the Braidwood Community Bank.
U15'S GIRLS (From coach Brad Carey)
The under 15's played joint competition leaders (Monaro) last Saturday in Braidwood. Monaro previously defeated us twice and they came out for another serious game looking for another win. Monaro scored first, then we scored a goal for them bringing the score to 2-0, Monaro's way.
Nina scored our first goal off a well-placed corner kick from Monique.
The girls then found their desire to fight back. Nina Garcia sent through a cross to Haddie who scored. Half time score was 2-2.
The second half was a battle from both sides. After a Palerang cross Monaro kicked an own goal for us giving us back the goal we kicked for them in the first half.
The score was now 3-2 Palerang's way. The girls fought to the end to keep this as the final score and to win the game. Well done another exciting game to watch, effort from the whole team was impressive. This now puts us outright second on the ladder with only three games left to play.
LADIES.
A very convincing win to the ladies team who took on Belnorth and defeated them 5-0. Goals to Phoebe Lang (2), Matilda Corby, Emily Malone and Tamara Roberts. This win puts the ladies in first place in the competition ladder, 4 points away from their nearest rivals. Well done girls.
MENS DIV 8.
What a great way to end the season with the Palerang Mens team winning in an exciting, if at some times high spirited, home game against Belconnen. The final score was 2-1 to Palerang.
