STRIKERS coach Robin Caulfield believes the only way his side can over-come the Cooma Tigers in tomorrow finals match is if his players arise to the occasion.

“Our quality players need to stand up and be counted and take some responsibility on the field this weekend,” he said.
The Strikers head to Canberra for a top two finals clash against Cooma at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
The last time the sides met, Cooma decisively put the Strikers away, although Caulfield is all too aware of the allowance Cooma has for three Canberra premier league players into the roster.
“They’re standouts, what we need to do is nullify the threat,” Caulfield said.
“At the same time we have to focus on our own threats.
“It’s a bit like a game of chess!”
The winner of tomorrows clash will advance straight to the Canberra Division three grand-final. The loser, however, will have a second shot in the finals race.
“If we beat Cooma we could even play them again in the grand-final.”
