Temporary arrangements for Braidwood crossings until compliant lighting can be installed.

Updated September 17 2014 - 9:44am, first published 9:43am

Due to delays in completing the lighting arrangements for the new pedestrian crossings, and to minimise further disruption to pedestrian movements on Wallace Street, the new pedestrian crossings will be opened, as an interim measure, without the ‘zebra’ markings. The installation of new lighting, required for crossings that give pedestrians priority, and completion of the crossing markings, should nonetheless be complete within 4-6 weeks. This timeframe is however subject to obtaining regulatory approvals for the lighting.
