The spring tennis competition has just commenced with four teams of 8 players and plenty of reserves to make sure the competition runs smoothly each week. Each night is filled with great tennis, laughter but most of all fun and exercise for all players involved.
Tennis President Michael Toirkens said “the new resurfacing of the courts and repaired umpire chairs, combined with good numbers for the current competition are all positive attributes for the future of tennis in Braidwood.”
Michael said, “The Palerang Cup is also coming up on the 2nd of November. This is an annual competition held against Bungendore Tennis Club.”
“The event is being held in Braidwood this year and we are the current holders of the Cup. The day is one of friendship, teamwork and making new friends. Let’s hope we can continue to keep the cup in Braidwood for another year.”
