Teams from Jindabyne, Bega, Batemans Bay, Vincentia and two from Canberra made for a great day of Oldies rugby with two fields running simultaneously most of the day. Games were 2 x 20 minute halves however they felt significantly longer out on the paddock. We welcomed aboard two new players Nick Pengelly and Nick Kemp who have recently moved into the area or about to as well as Tommy Watson who was a fresh faced 35 year old.
Congratulations to Mick Toirkens who was presented with his Golden Oldies red shorts to signify he is over 50 and still silly enough to play contact sport. Thank you to all players who made the effort to attend our first Tathra event, even those that got as far as Moruya before heading home.
The Redbacks Rugby Club AGM will be held on Thursday November 6 at the Braidwood Services Club at 7:00pm. Draft dates for our 2015 Golden Oldies schedule will be available for discussion on the night. All are encouraged to attend this meeting.
