Following the new works in Wallace street for pedestrian 'safety' being installed, my daughter had a near miss trying to cross from the farmers market to the bakery. She was crossing with her sister when a helpful lady stopped her car to allow them to cross the busy road. As she stepped out on the road, another vehicle ran up the back of the stopped car, causing it to jump forward and come close to hitting her. My older daughter was unsure about crossing, so in the confusion she remained on the curb.
