After several years gestation The Indelible Stencil Project has finally delivered the public poetry to parks across the Southern Tablelands. The 24 commissioned poems fabricated in steel were the initiative of Yass Valley artist Lizz Murphy, The Indelible Stencil is supported by the Regional Arts Fund an Australian Government initiative and delivered in partnership with the Country Arts Support Program, STARTS and its member Local Governments.

Eight Local Government Area were involved with ten poets: Jane Baker (Yass), Richard Bell (Bargo), Margaret Berry (Boorowa), Nicola Bowery (Reidsdale), Russell Erwin (Bannister), Harry Laing (Reidsdale), Robyn Lance (Goulburn), Elizabeth Lawson (Queanbeyan), Lizz Murphy (Binalong) and Mark Tredinnick (Burradoo).
