Matt Darwon, Chair of the Majors Creek Landscape Guardians says, "It calls into question the “process” that is unfair to tens of thousands of landholders, business owners and residents surrounding the development and downstream to the coast. Unfair because there has never been a Development Application submitted that has on-site processing or storage using a hazardous material such as cyanide, and because there has never been a comprehensive EIS done of the potential impacts associated with this type of processing, including the freeing of heavy metals and trace elements that are present in the soils of the Dargues Reef site."
