Local Trainer Aaron Clarke had a great day at the track on Saturday for the 2015 Braidwood Races. Clarke took out first place in Race 3 with 4 year old gelding Bon Homme ridden by Patrick Murphy. This was followed up with a quinella in Race 5 ‘The Unity Mining Braidwood Cup’ over 1350 metres with Failed Approach ridden by Patrick Murphy, which is owned by Aaron Clarke and Peta Young, and a second with Mugga Malley ridden by Richard Bensley in which they pair also have a share.

Overcast conditions and little drizzle didn't dampen the spirits of racing enthusiasts. While numbers were down, local spirits were high.
There was an excellent turnout for Fashions on the field with more categories and more prizes this year and sashes were awarded to the winners.
The new team at the Jockey Club had also hired a large screen for better race viewing.
