The celebrity golf day and night held last weekend as a fundraiser for the Golf Club and the Services Club was a sensational success for all involved. With celebrity golfer Wayne Grady attending with the ‘Pros’ Pro’ Greg Hohnen, the course was in excellent condition, the weather was fine and all agreed it was a great weekend. PHOTO GALLERY HERE

A clinic was held for about 80 local golfers and then a lucky young Romney Smith, Braidwood’s junior champion partnered with Greg Hohnen against Michael Toirkens Braidwood’s A grade mens champion and Wayne Grady to play an 9 hole exhibition match in which Romney and Greg came up trumps.
It had been a huge effort on the part of everyone at the Clubs to prepare the course and clubhouse.
