A foggy beginning to the grand final last Monday night greeted players and spectators. At one stage, it was difficult to see the opposition on the other side of the net. That did not deter from the high standard of play.

The Autumn competition had 5 teams consisting of 8 players, which star6ted in mid February. Ten rounds were played prior to semi-finals and the Grand Final. We welcomed many new players and hope they enjoyed the season.
Team 3 captained brilliantly by Murray Smith, led the competition from round 1, ended up defeating team 4 captained by Michael Toirkens in the final by 10 sets to 6.
Murray was quick to congratulate the team which included newcomers Sam Lyons, Emma Hillsdon and Lisa Cram.
Defeated Captain and Tennis Club President Michael Toirken said “well done Murray and your team, it was well deserved, being the most consistent team throughout the season. Many thanks to all the their teams ad reserves that made the competition a success.”
The next competition will commence in September. Please keep an eye out for notices in the Braidwood Times.
