BRAG is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, and continues the tradition set by the Braidwood Group in the 1970s that brought together artists from a wide range of mediums, making Braidwood a center for creative and cultural excellence. From its beginning in 2002, BRAG's activities have been inclusive and community focused. Members live locally and are drawn from all aspects of the arts. Some are full-time practitioners with national and international reputations others are part-time practitioners, enthusiasts or simply 'arts supporters'.
Palerang Mayor Pete Harrison was on hand to launch the Fund, along with Dr Mike Kelly who had launched the newly acquired building two years ago.
