The Gundillion /Krawarree area has been left out of the 795 mobile phone black spots in regional communities to get a new tower. Communities in the Monaro including Araluen, Anglers Reach, Avonside, Dalgety, Nerriga, Numeralla and Tomboye will benefit from seven additional mobile network towers, eliminating some of State’s worst black spots.

Minister for Regional Development and Member for Monaro John Barilaro said
the announcement “delivers a key election commitment for residents who deserve a first class mobile coverage, which is critical for people living outside major cities who need access to emergency services,” Mr Barilaro said.
The investment will improve coverage along major transport routes, in small communities and locations prone to experiencing natural disasters, with funding to be rolled out over a 3-year period.
However there has been no joy for the Gundillion community despite getting together to meet with Dr Peter Hendy MP about their phone issues in April and also sent a delegation to Canberra last week to meet with Dr Hendy, and Paul Fletcher, the Parliamentary Secretary to Malcolm Turnbull.
The Telstra landline cable is still floating in the Shoalhaven River at Wyanbene. More next week.
