Last week saw four teams from Braidwood go to Canberra to compete in the Kanga Cup The under 13 girls (Palerang Pinks) gave one hell of a show. The girls usually play at a Division 3 level but were put into Division 1 (Female Cup). Our young ladies did us very proud considering the division that they had to play in.

Out of six games they were defeated 4 times, won one game 4-0 Then in the final game of the week we got to see just how much these young ladies had improved in one week of competing against some really strong teams from all over NSW and ACT .
The girls put up a massive fight right to the end of their last game of the week ending with a 1-1 draw meaning they had to go into extra time fighting right to the last minute then being just beat to the post by one goal.
The girls also had the privilege of getting to make some lifelong friends with other teams that they had played against through the week .
The Palerang Pinks made a great impression with their lovely sportsmanship ways especially with the Balmain Tigers under 13 girls who supported our girls all the way even after they had defeated the Palerang Pinks earlier in the week, these girls still came out and showed true sportsmanship by cheering our girls on right to the very end, it was an amazing week which we know that our girls learnt so much from this experience.
We can’t wait until next year and we go back and kick some serious butt.
