The days are getting longer and warmer, making it a great time to dust off your tennis racquets and shoes in readiness for the upcoming Braidwood Tennis Competition. The Spring competition starts on Monday September 7.

Depending on the number of teams, the competition will be played on a Monday and tuesday night, commencing at 7pm. Each team comprises 8 players separated into A and B Grades, with players playing 4 sets if doubles during the night.
Braidwood Tennis Club President, Michael Toirkens said “It’s a great time of year to play tennis and I urge players of all standards to come and play. Players are graded to make the competition as even as possible”.
Towards the end of the year, Braidwood Tennis Club will take on bungendore Tennis for the Annual Palerang Cup. Tennis Club Secretary, Jenny Daniher said “We’ve been running the Palerang cup for the past 2 years and have built some great friendships along the way. Bungendore are the current holders of the Palerang cup, so we hope the result will swing in Braidwood’s favour this year”.
Grading for new players will be held at the tennis courts on tuesday, September 1 at 7pm. current members are more than welcome to come down and have a hit in readiness for the upcoming competition.
