The hot weather has finished off the grape hyacinths which were a lovely carpet this year along with the colourful Japonica. The surrounds to the plots have been cleared and grass mown so now, It is time to sweep the dead grass off the graves and weed the sites ready for all Souls Day.

Students from Braidwood Central School spent some time in the cemetery on their walk around town. They did some work with teachers and volunteers cleaning up and planting bulbs in the children’s graves corner and pruning roses and weeding in the Charleyong memorial garden and a couple adopted a grave to weed and plant out with violets.
There are many minor repairs that can be done with the whole family especially to relations graves.
