FESTIVAL OF BRAIDWOOD Celebrating 21ST ANNUAL AIRING OF THE QUILTS Saturday Nov 28th
Something for everyone over the Weekend
Enjoy a wide variety of shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants whilst viewing the spectacular quilts adorning the 19th century buildings on Wallace Street in Heritage Listed Braidwood.
Saturday only:
- The Outdoor Airing of the Quilts
- Ryrie Park - Traditional Markets
- Masonic Hall - Display of quilts by Janette Hindmarsh and Trish Younger
- Anglican Church - Display of local quilts
- St Bede’s School - ‘STUR in the Hall’, textiles & clothing stall. Also history of Australian quilting and workshop for kids
- CWA House - Featuring a quilt display and serving Devonshire Teas and sandwiches
- St Bede’s Grounds -Auto Show with vintage cars, bikes, tractors, steam engines
- Pony Rides in Central School Grounds
- Open Walled Garden – 116 Wallace Street
Saturday and Sunday:
- Braidwood National Theatre - variety of quilt and textile arts displays and demonstrations. Trading tables. Raffle Quilt.
- Braidwood Regional Art Group Building - Quilter's Groups Challenges. Local textile artists - displays and demonstrations.
- SERVICEMENS Club - Canberra Quilters Guild display and sales table.
- Anglican Hall - Ends of roll and wholesale fabrics for bargain prices.
- Fyre Gallery - Textile artist Paull McKee
- Pop Up Art Exhibition and Sales - local artists – Penny Crawford and Christine Dimmer – next to the prize winning Quilt Shop in Wallace Street
- Where's Ollie -Children's under 10 "spot the owl" competition. Quilt love block competition.
- Ceramic Studio Sale - Gwenna Green - To Throsby - Sue Fisher, Bopping’s Crossing Road
- Photographic competition exhibition – Albion Coach House Duncan Street (Cancelled)
- Carriage Rides

- Scout Hall - All Day Quilting Class, conducted by the internationally renowned Helen Godden.(sorry cancelled)
