A man will face court next month after being detected travelling more than 100km/h over the speed limit in the Southern Tablelands.

About 8.45am on Saturday February 6, police from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling in Braidwood, when a white Holden Commodore was seen travelling at speed.
Police followed the vehicle onto Araluen Road, where the vehicle was allegedly detected at 201km/h in the sign posted 100km/h zone.
The 27-year-old male driver was stopped by police and issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for drive at a speed dangerous to the public and exceed speed over 45km/h.
His license was confiscated and immediately suspended for six months.
He is due to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Wednesday 9 March 2016.
