It has taken community involvement and dedication by people willing to make it happen.
Some people saw us at the Braidwood Show selling ice creams, you will get to see us on Anzac Day in the march and ceremony, and more in the future.
Although the Group is small it has only been growing for eight weeks, but with support from the community and the need for more Leaders for us to grow further, we see a bright future for Scouting in Braidwood.
We still have books “Scouting in Braidwood” (the history of the Scouts and Guides in Braidwood from 1928) available for sale $20, with proceeds going to the Group.
The Scouts (11-15 years old) meet on Thursdays from 6 - 8 pm,
Cub Scouts (8 -11 years old) meet on Thursdays from 6:15 - 7:45 pm
during school terms at the Scout hall in Coghill Street.
Our Committee meets are on the last Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the hall.
Anyone interested in the growth of our Scout Group are welcome.
