Sydney company Dirtz has been awarded the contract to undertake the design and construction of the recreational bike park located at the existing BMX track in the Braidwood Rec Ground.
Dirtz, operating out of Sydney, have constructed a wide range of BMX and mountain bike tracks throughout the world, with recent projects in New Zealand, South Africa and all around Australia. They have recently completed the track used in the 2016 Australian BMX National Championships held in Bathurst in March.
Dirtz worked on a concept for Council late last year that was put to funding partners ClubGrants, Veolia Mulwaree Trust and Bendigo Bank as part of the amendment to the Braidwood Rec Ground project. The concept design included a beginner’s track and a track for more experienced riders, and asphalt starts and curves to ensure track longevity.
The current concept can be found on Councils website and at the Braidwood Council Office.
