On Anzac the possum arrived at bowling green to see many bowlers trying out the dart board on the green that was photographed in last week’s paper where each bowler was attempting to place a bowl on a particular number on the dart board. Those competing had a great time the possum thinks it would improve the accuracy of players & will be an enjoyable alternate way of playing bowls when rules are finally established.
The 2016 Minors Championship was decided when Stephen Piper defeated Peter Camiller in the final which was a close game in the first half but Steve got away to big lead in the second half of the game to win 31 shots to 19. There has been only one game played in the 1st round of the pairs championship & that was played on Sunday when Gary Kiff & Barry Osmond defeated David Cargill & Peter Camiller in a very close game when a measure of less than a 1 /4 inch decided whether an extra end would have need to be played with score at 17 to 16 which gave to winners 18 shots.
Remember Bowlers are not old they just live longer.
