Condolences to those who didn't make it to this year's Braidwood Annual Quilters Luncheon. It was a very enjoyable day. It was held at the Servicemen's Club, and the lovely roast lunch was provided by the club restaurant. There was a continuous raffle held throughout the function with many prizes to be won. A lovely quilt was also won.

We had an inspirational speaker, Fiona Hammond, who is a mixed media artist, designer and tutor. She is well known in the quilting world. Not only did she have many lovely art quilts to show us, but also many beautiful beaded items, including brooches. I can't wait to get started on some of her projects. Fiona will be opening a shop and gallery in Braidwood in March 2017, and conducting small classes.
And last, but not least, we had show and tell wherein some quilters showed the projects that they had been working on, and often had a little story to go with it.
A very enjoyable day was had by all. Maybe next year you might like to join us.
