Just after 6pm on February 26, emergency services were called to the intersection of Kings Highway and Captains Flat Road, Carwoola following reports of a motorcycle crash.
Initial inquiries suggest a motorcycle was travelling west along Kings Highway when it collided with a street sign.
Officers from Traffic & Highway Patrol Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to The Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
Police will investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
