Hosting the Black Dog ride

Hundreds of leather-clad bikies, with hundreds motorbikes drew up their bikes in Braidwood, stopping for a cup of tea.

The bikies were taking part in the national Black Dog Ride, riding from Canberra to Batemans Bay to raise money for the treatment of depression and mental illness.

One commentator thought that the value of the bikes and leather combined probably exceeded the nation debt.

The Braidwood Lions fortified the riders for their next leg, with a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
