Louie the Lion dropped by St Bede’s last week to give students some tips about billycart racing. Louie was a big hit at the school when the Braidwood Lions Club visited to promote the upcoming Braidwood Community Bank Billycart Derby.

The Lions spoke at a school assembly, telling the kids about the Billycart Derby and encouraging them to attend.
The big day is on Sunday May 7, just six weeks away. Races will be run along Gillamatong Lane from 9:45am. This is the eighth Braidwood Billycart Derby. The day will include face painting, a sausag sizzle and a traditional cart parade, with a chance for participants to win a bike.
