The kids at the Central School looked like a flock of colourful birds as they participated in Harmony Day activities this Tuesday. Students wore either traditional dress from another culture, or orange, during the day which celebrates cultural diversity.

They enjoyed a range of Harmony Day activities designed to learn about cultural diversity in Australia on Tuesday, run by their Student Representative Council.
Students made chatterboxes with multi-cultural facts on, learn how to say ‘hello’ in five languages and made bunting, alongside other activities.
Harmony Day is celebrated around Australia, it coincides with the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Harmony Day aims to encourage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster sense of belonging for everyone.
