These replica carbines are a credit to our members who have put many hours into transforming basic materials into works of art.
The guns will be carried by the mounted police. They’ll be arriving towards the end of the re-enactment so keep an eye out for them if you’re heading out to enjoy the day.
We had a good roll up of twenty one men at the shed last Friday. Dick created an excellent chocolate slice which disappeared in double time.
Plans are well under way for our new storage and metal working area. As you may be aware, we have been successful with a grant application from the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council and would like to thank them for their ongoing support with our DA.
Great news also via invaluable support from the Mundango Family Trust. We now have a state of the art portable defibrillator. After some exhaustive research we purchased a Zoll 3 AED. Its flexibility in allowing us to easily transport it to various locations where our activities sometimes take us made it a relatively easy choice in the end.
We meet each Friday from 9:30 and always welcome new members.
