Carwoola Appeal
The Appeal, closing at May’s end, has raised more than $192,000 for victims. The Appeal Panel has so far distributed $72,500 to bushfire victims and earmarked a further $31,500 for immediate needs.
The most recent Panel meeting agreed restoration of fencing, identification and lopping of affected trees and addressing resulting erosion and weed growth were priorities.
As residents rebuild and finalise insurance claims, different needs may emerge, which will direct the distribution of the remaining funds.
