The crowds packed in to the courthouse to watch as John Stahel, leading a band of volunteers, condemned Tom and John Clarke to death for their crimes.
The trials were so popular that tickets sold out within a fortnight of release, largely to non-local bushranger buffs. The Historical Society is considering running an additional read through of the trial in the coming months, to give Braidwood residents the chance to see the trial.
