Despite not yet knowing how much the school will receive, or exactly what for, Ms Mosely was delighted the school was to receive any sort of upgrade.

“It’s going to be amazing, whatever it is,” Ms Mosely said. “Whatever they want to give us, we are quite happy to accept.”

The school is one of several in Monaro to receive funding from $4.2 billion to be invested in NSW campuses over the next four years. 

The money is designated for upgrades to core facilities and expansion of the school, including new teaching spaces.

The funding is much needed. Apart from its multi-purpose centre, Ms Mosely thinks the school might not have had a major upgrade since the 1980s.

Key items on her wishlist are bigger classrooms to provide more flexibility, an extension of the ‘small hall’ to provide better music and drama facilities, and new administration facilities.

It’s a waiting game to find out exactly what the funding will be for, but Ms Mosely is sure it’ll be fantastic for the school. “Whatever we get will be great for the school and therefore great for the town,” she said.
