A warm spring day was a welcome change for junior soccer after many weeks of cold and frosty weather, and there were just enough Under Sevens players for two smaller team games. After a bit of borrowing players to even out numbers, four teams were created with three to four players each, making for fast paced games and plenty of touches on the ball for everyone. Less legs in front of goal also resulted in plenty of balls in the back of the net.

Great games from Bayden, Theodore, Jack, Cormac, Oscar and Skelton on team 1 and River, Ella, Riley, Hayley Kieran, Charlie and Oliver on Team Two. The Under Sevens have really come along over the soccer season and have developed some good skills and great sportsmanship. Keep it up kids!
Under Twelves
A home game again for us this Saturday and great weather to go with it. We were up against Monaro Panthers this weekend and yet again another away team wanting a win against us. The game started slow with both halves of the field being dominated however a lucky chip over the top and into the net from Leroy saw us 1 – 0 at half time and we were in a great position however Monaro came fighting back in the second half and to score three quick goals. We stayed strong in all our lines of attack and also our goalie Nathan constantly saved many more runs on the board but it just wasn’t our day with the game finishing up at 3-1 to Monaro.
