The fire was contained at 2pm on Saturday September 23, and is currently being patrolled.
Crews were fires alerted to the fire at 10:30am on Friday September 22.
A fire investigation will determine the cause of the fire, which is not known at this stage.
A small fire at Nerriga was also controlled within half an hour of crews attending.
Unusually warm and windy weather saw 260 fires throughout NSW this weekend. By Monday morning there were 100 bush or grass fires burning in the state, 32 of which were yet to be contained.
With conditions forecast to be poor on Saturday, the RFS prioritised controlling both fires on the Friday, District Officer Darren Marks said.
In the lead up to the official start of the bushfire season on Sunday, Mr Marks warned that while last year’s bushfire season was bad, this year’s has the potential to be worse.
“This is a fire season that has got unfortunately some potential… we’d really like people to be alert and careful,” Mr Marks said.
The weekend was a good reminder for all residents of bushfire prone areas to know their fire risk, and have a bushfire survival plan prepared, said an RFS spokesperson.
