Neighbourhood Watch works across Australia and New Zealand to create safer, connected and inclusive communities through strategies and policies that encourage community participation.

The Police Ode
On September 29, police officers from the Monaro Local Area Command attended the National Police Memorial with families, friends, colleagues and the community, in remembrance of officers killed on duty.
The day including a reading of the Police Ode:
As the sun surely sets, dawn will see it arise
For service, above self, demands its own prize
You have fought the good fight, life's race has been run
and peace, your reward, for eternity begun;
and we that are left, shall never forget.
Rest in peace friend and colleague, for the sun has now set.
We will remember. We will remember.

Fire permits in effect
Just a reminder that the 2017-18 Bush Fire Danger Period is now in place for most of NSW. A fire permit is required for burning activities during this period.
