At the recent AGM of Braidwood and District Historical Society two members were recognised with the highest honour of the society. The society awarded life memberships to Roslyn Madrell and Olive Royds in recognition of their service.

Roslyn Maddrell for “Outstanding commitment and service for many years as principal research officer, committee member and volunteer. Also in recognition of her many publications on local history.”
Olive Royds for “Outstanding personal commitment and service as a long term committee member and volunteer. Also for her dedication and service to the organisation of the museum.”
The election of officers saw the following returned Peter Smith as President, John Stahel, Vice President, Annette Briggs, Secretary and Julie Coleman as the new Treasurer.
