A small group of Fishing Club Members spent their weekend at the Snowy Mountains to try their hand trout fishing. Even with hours on the lake, members caught just ten fish during the weekend. Their were no complaints despite the scarcity of fish. Instead attendees were busy enjoying the crisp mornings, sunny days and windless weather.

Two members( no names) were in such a hurry to get on the lake they launched their boat a bit early and missed the lake ending up on the sand. There could be a trophy at the end of the year for that one.
The winner of the weekend was Bruce Stuart with a Brown Trout, it was a well-deserved win after the many hours of fishing.
The weekend was sponsored by Maureen and Ian Faviell and the club would like to thank them for their outgoing support.
The next comp is a family competition at Nelligen on November 3-5, anyone interested in attending is remaindered to book their accommodation ASAP as this is a busy weekend.
This a great weekend for any thinking anyone thinking of joining The Fishing Club and seeing what we are all about, new members are always welcome.
