Although down on numbers for this round, a strong group of 10 players and their families made the long journey, playing four games over the day.
With only a couple of the girls having played rugby before the tournament, the improvement shown in their skills and understanding of the game is outstanding.
The girls came out firing in the first game, with good support play and strong running helping them to come away with a win in a closely matched game against the Wests Lionesses.
The excitement of winning their second game of the series was fantastic to see!
A few injuries and some warmer than expected weather made the remaining games more challenging.
The girls never stopped trying however, and gave their best against some very experienced opponents, the Far South Coast, Batemans Bay and Jindabyne.
The team finished the day in fourth place heading into the final round.
The Spiderlings played their first game as a team in September, when they took on the Batemans Bay Boars, the FSC Falcons and Narooma at a Gala Day in Broulee.
It is great to see the girls gaining in confidence and enjoying their rugby.
This week sees them travel to Wagga Wagga together with the Black Widows for the finals of the tournament.
Good luck girls!
